What does recovery mean to you?
The sense of peace and serenity I carry in my life today. Being able to sit at home in a quiet room with no distractions. & loving myself for who I truly am.
What does recovery look like to you?
Recovery looks like not only discontinuing the misuse of alcohol or any other mind-altering substances, but also working on the underlying issues that caused you to want to turn to substances in the first place.
What is something you do for yourself in your recovery?
I wake up every morning and spend my firsts moments thanking God for another day.
What is something you do for others in recovery?
Fortunately I am blessed to be in a position where I am able to help families and their loved ones find a basis for recovery and show them that there is another way. Each and every day I’m blessed with the opportunity to be an open ear for someone in the depths of struggle. Today, God has blessed me with a chance to be a pillar of light in a community of men who are suffering as I once did.
Advice you’d give to someone new in recovery?
Give it time & Trust in a Higher Power greater than yourself.
What’s your favorite hobby in sobriety?
Currently my favorite hobby is attending the gym.

Recovery is possible you just have to be willing to put in the work.
